Present
I sing in a marvelous choir. Our 45th season focuses on American composers and kicks off October 18-19 . (P.S. You can buy tickets online! It's not too early to think about Christmas concerts either.)
I'm a licensed amateur radio operator (ham) with a heart for disaster preparedness, an itinerant chef, and amateur photographer. I attend Peninsula Bible Church in Cupertino and met my wife in the 20-something fellowship there. We are now raising a herd of elephants and a cat.
Past
I graduated in 2001 from Claremont McKenna College and studied a little at Stanford University. When not writing my economics thesis on local currencies, I could be found singing in one of the choirs that met at Scripps College, noshing and discussing big topics over dinner at CMC's Athenaeum or playing piano, writing my own music and poetry, or taking pictures.
And Future
In school, I rode everywhere and still think it's a marvelous underused method of transportation. I've bicycled half of the California coast on my own and hope some day to get back in the saddle.

Life is so generous a giver, but we, judging its gifts by their covering,
cast them away as ugly or heavy or hard.
Remove the covering, and you will find beneath it a living splendour, woven
of love, by wisdom, with power.
Fra Giovanni Giocondo
It is a dangerous thing to ask why someone else has been given more.
It is humblingand indeed healthyto ask why you have been given
so much.
Condoleezza Rice
